Seed new lawns and over seed thin lawns (Blue Grass Lawns)
Apply low-nitrogen fertilizers
Install sod
Divide and replant perennials and early blooming bulbs.
Dig-up tender bulbs, tubers and corms and store in a cool, dry dark area.
Plant fall annuals/tender perennials such as pansies, flowering cabbage/kale, Mums and Asters
Plant evergreens and continue to water young trees and shrubs
Plant spring blooming bulbs
Remove leaves to prevent lawn disease…leaves make a good mulch for tender perennials
Winterize the sprinkler system
Remove garden debris (Debris allows diseases and insects a place to survive the winter)
Plant large shade trees. Transplant trees after leaves have dropped for best results.
Prepare snow removal equipment
Be sure plantings, especially new ones, are well watered until the ground freezes
Begin pruning of dormant perennials.
November is a good time to spread sees directly from the plant to the soil.
